Our third day and our guys, with two games experience behind them, did extremely well. Again this a game where the score belies the drama and skill shown. Our hitting and fielding were both in top form. Conor Lohan and David Lehman pitched fine games, both striking out opposing players and with Conor not giving up an earned run. Bermuda hung in there and the score was 1-0 going into the third.
The kids also watch other games as well, after our game we watched Aruba vs. Curacao. Curacao has one the tournament every year since 2001 when Little League split the Caribbean out of teh Latin America division. It is an understatement to say that the level of Baseball is so high as to engender disbelief that no boy is older than 12.
We are also glad to see that the boys are making friends with boys on other teams and citizens of Bonaire. This trip, although devoted to, is not all about the Baseball. It is a learning experience for everyone.
On the right is a slide show of the third game, please double click to go to the web album.
